Can my investor switch payment methods for credit card and ACH?
There are several key points to note if your investor wants to switch their payment method during the trade flow.
The payment method that is stored in TransactAPI at the time North Capital does its batch processing is the payment that will run. More information on batch processing can be found here.
Payments can only be updated between the time when the investment was made and North Capital's batch processing.
Updating a credit card or ACH payment method can be done via API, through your TransactAPI admin dashboard, or by the investor.
If the investor requests a change to the payment type (credit card to ACH or ACH to credit card), this can be done through the TAPI dashboard by updating the trade or via API, utilizing the API method, updateTradeStatus.
