What does it mean when the Payment or Fund Movement Status is 'Returned?'
For most cases, this means that the ACH transfer or Credit Card transaction has failed and the transaction never went through.

However, for ACH transfers there is a 60 day window of time that transactions can be pulled back by the investor after the funds have settled. This is the only time a transaction marked as returned will have funds settle and then get returned. You can view the specific reasons they failed by going to your dashboard and going to the "View Payments" option in the TransactAPI admin Dashboard.
