What does the 'Primary Party Account does not exist or is not active' error mean?

It is required to have at least one primary party linked to an account. This can be done using the createLink API or in TransactAPI. View Account, click Associated Parties, add new and set "Primary Party" to Yes.

Important fields for the Primary Party in the createLink API method: 

  • primary_value = 1

  • relatedEntryType = IndivACParty
