Plaid is required to be the primary method of an investor providing their bank account details. A secondary option may be provided for the user to manually add their bank account. However, we'd like to point out that we have observed a significant increase in fraudulent activity with ACH payments. Using Plaid to link a bank account can lower that risk because of the required credentials which often includes two-factor authentication. We have also implemented a holding period for return requests to also help reduce the exposure to fraudulent transactions.
